I've had genie straighteners for a few months now and they are fab! few of my friends have ghds and i tried them out on my hair 2 see what all the fuss woz about! but there's no difference between genie and ghd, they work the same really..they are only more expensive because of the brand name & is more popular, but seriously genies are just as good, if not, better

Genie is miserable
I have bouth a Genie flats from Girlznigth. I have only one thing to say it was miserable! Genie can not measure with GHD at all. Seriously i don't know how you all can write that its better than a GHD? Even the quality looks so cheap. I have many hairstraitghner both cheap and expensive, but this one is sure the worst of all. I recently bought myself pink Genie hair straighteners & have to say im very impressed :) I purchased them from my local store Salon Services at 58.98 & im happy i bought them as they work really well on my hair! The reason i decided to buy these was because i was getting tired of buying cheap straighteners out of Argos & wanted to invest in ones that the professionals use...i had read reviews about these & all of them were good so i decided to go for it :) you can buy these in black too but i love pink! AND these straighteners can also create flicks & curls which is a bonus! the plates don't snag or pull your hair, they just glide smoothly through your hair! even though these straighteners are proffesional, i would advice not to use them everyday as too much heat can damage your hair...i would reccomend these to anyone! :) 10/10

Excellent Straighteners
I have always used ghds, but when my straighteners broke this year I couldn't afford a new set. My friend recommended the Genie to me and I can honestly say they straighten just as well as my ghds. Used them for 4 months now with no problems at all.
