Sienna Miller jazzed up a pretty ordinary outfit with the Katherine Kwei Joyce Carry-All in black over the weekend. This bag is a great take on the fringe trend, with leather strips revealing a peek of metallic underneath and tying up neatly in knots at the bottom of the bag. The calf and lambskin bag, $625, is available at Luna Boston.

This is such a realistically doable look – just pair the bag with jeans and a pea coat and you’re channeling Sienna with considerably more ease than some of her red-carpet looks would require.

R.J. Cutler’s much-anticipated documentary “The September Issue” premiered in New York this week, and as expected it was a very fashionable red carpet. Above the two stars of the film, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and September cover girl Sienna Miller, pose together for photographers. Could have been an awkward moment considering all the criticism of Miller Wintour voiced in the film. Wintour wore Prada (hmm…reminiscent of another movie she inspired?) and Miller is wearing a Thakoon dress and a cute Bottega Vaneta clutch.

Even with the fashion-forward crowd, there was a lot of black on the carpet. Voguette Jessica Joffe and socialite Maggie Bettes both went with black, but edgy versions in fun and interesting textures. Love Joffe’s jewelry. They also both went with super strappy black stilettos. Vera Wang, at right, also went with an all black creation of her own design, and added a pop of color with orange and black heels.

The young models were also out en force, with fun and flirty fashions. Anne V sported the Fashion Night Out tee with a sexy red body-con skirt and ankle booties. Chanel Iman went with the very trendy summer white, and dressed it up with gold accessories.

Everyone may be talking about Sienna Miller’s shimmery beaded Gucci suit at the Toyko premiere of G.I. Joe, but I was way more interested in her hair. Her ponytail was laid back (of course, it is Sienna) but fashionable, sexy and pulled-together at the same time. This is a look you could work in real life, and Adir Abergel of Frederic Fekkai tells us how.

“Start by applying Fekkai Coiff Boufant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gell from roots to ends, part hair in a middle part,” he instructs. “Blow dry completely with a round brush, once completely dry, take all hair into a low ponytail applying Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra Light Finishing Creme to hair for texture and shine and wrap with elastic band at the nape. Once done, spray for the perfect hold.”
