The Brit Awards were held last night in London and guess who showed up looking fabulous as a kick in the teeth to her lying, cheating hubby? Yes the stunning Cheryl Cole and her Girls Aloud band mates, minus Nadine, lit up the red carpet in bold and funky little dresses. What a perfect way to show Ashley what a mistake he made!

I breathed a sigh of relief last week when Britney spears was finally hospitalised and committed to stay at UCLA Medical Centre. I actually thought, wow this is when we’re going to see her make her big comeback and show some sort of commitment that she actually wants to get better and regain rights to see her children. Turns out I was mistaken, as she was released the other day and seems to have almost immediately gone back to her old ways. Why can’t she admit she needs help?! I’m still hoping she’s going to get better eventually but the outlook is looking bleaker and bleaker and if she’s not careful I fear she will be going down the same road as Heath Ledger whose death was ruled as an accidental mix of medications. Hopefully press will now leave Heaths family to grieve in peace. (more…)

It is rumoured that Angelina is pregnant again but this time it could be TWINS! It would be brilliant if this turns out to be true, just imagine two tiny identical little Brad and Angelina’s running round the place! The star is reportedly eating for 3 right now and in recent pictures you can definitely see that she seems to have put on some much needed weight and looks positively radiant don’t you think? (more…)
Well, it’s been a strange old week in the world of showbiz. First off I’d like to start by sending some heartfelt sympathy to singer Lily Allen who has just tragically suffered a miscarriage. The star came back from holiday with boyfriend Ed Simmons when she found out. The couple are both said to be in a state of shock (understandably) losing a baby is tragic for anyone; it must be especially hard with her being in the public eye. I hope she gets the support she needs and surrounds herself with friends and family at this horrible time.
On a slightly lighter but infinitely more bizarre note lets move on to talk about the video’s that have recently surfaced all over the internet showing Tom Cruise talking about scientology. To say I’m a little freaked out by the footage is an understatement, I completely respect other religions and cultures and am happy to learn more about any, but these videos showing Cruise laughing (in an almost manic fashion) and babbling about what he believes in all seem to be a little over the top. Im not sure if you can still get the footage on youtube as a lot have been removed, but recently on The Sun Newspaper website they have featured a hilarious mock music video of Tom in full scientology mode. Eastenders fans (or the female ones at very least) may be sad to hear that one of the shows top male totty Rob Kazinsky who plays Sean Slater is all set to quit the show to pursue a career in the movies! He has reportedly been signed by mega star Brad Pitt’s agent and cant wait to appear on the big screen! I must admit that although I’m really sad to see him go (I just love that bad boy character) I hope he does well in his movie career and am looking forward to seeing him pop up in a great variety of both British and international roles. I’m sure he’ll do us proud!
And lastly, one of my least favourite Hollywood actors Eddie Murphy has recently made a complete idiot of himself again and called it quits on his relationship with Tracey Edmonds just 2 weeks after an intimate wedding ceremony. PEOPLE magazine learned the following statement…
“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”
Hmmm it’s very suspicious I think!”

OK, so who managed to catch the first episodes of Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach last night? I did and I have to admit I thought it was great! Moving wallpaper is the fake documentary ‘behind the scenes’ style show in which we see producer Jonathan Pope (played by the hilarious Ben Miller) and his team of writers planning each episode and deciding what will happen next. I loved the fact that if you watch carefully there are little ‘in jokes’ throughout the show which pop up during Echo Beach, the actual soap opera show starring Jason Donovan and Martine McCutcheon. This is kind of a cross between Home and Away, Hollyoaks and The OC which I find completely bizarre but utterly compelling to watch! I think I’m preferring ‘Moving Wallpaper’ to Echo Beach itself at the moment but it definitely has a lot of potential and I’m really looking forward to see what kind of character development and cool story arc’s we get over the next 12 episodes.
Now I know I said last week that I wasn’t really sure about the new Celebrity BB Hijack show, but I have a small confession to make… its really growing on me. I have tuned in to a few more episodes and was in absolute hysterics as Russell Brand got his turn in the BB chair. He came up with some great tasks and really made the most of his time in there. Kelly Osbourne was also amazing, she had a down to earth caring and honest attitude which really made the show fun to watch. I was also pleasantly surprised at the fact I enjoyed John McCririck’s celebrity hijack, despite the fact that the man seriously creeps me out and disgust me simultaneously! Kudos to him for putting the housemates through their paces and telling them all that they were the favourite to win was brilliant.
Nicole Richie is expecting her baby any day in the next week according to recent reports. The star is heavily pregnant and her family and boyfriend Joel Madden (from the band Good Charlotte) are getting increasingly excited about the imminent new arrival. I’m looking forward to seeing the little one when he/she arrives, and it’s good to see Nicole looking positively glowing for once! Lets hope she manages to keep on some of that baby weight afterwards and not go back to her old skeletal frame of the past.

First up let’s talk Big Brother Celebrity Hijack which aired on Channel 4 and E4 last night. I’m not sure about you guys but I really don’t know quite what to make of this show! On one hand I enjoyed seeing Little Britain star Matt Lucas in control of the house, as I think he is brilliant but on the other hand it all just felt a bit wrong… (more…)
Well, another Christmas has come and gone, I hope you all had a good one! I thoroughly enjoyed mine this year but you’ll be pleased to know that I still managed to find time to dig out some of the best movie news and celebrity gossip for you all to feast your beady eyes upon.
First up lets talk about Will Smith’s new movie ‘I am Legend’ it hit cinema’s boxing day and I trundled off to see it, mostly due to being insanely bored with the rubbish that was on TV (Excluding Eastenders which was fab! More about that below).
Now if I’m honest I was expecting this to be a poor version of the 28 Days Later films, but I must confess I really enjoyed it! It had an interesting plotline and some great special effects and Will Smith was looking very VERY good! *drools* If you like horror movies then check this one out, don’t be put off by the bad reviews!
Whilst most of us have spent our festive period with family, or hitting the sales as soon as the shops are back open OC Star Mischa Barton went down a slightly different route… she got herself arrested. She was apparently driving under the Influence and driving without a license and has her bail set at $10,000. That’s another classic example of stars getting far too big for their boots and thinking that they are above the law. I’m glad these kinds of things seem to be getting cracked down on of late!
As I mentioned above, Christmas TV was as abysmal as usual this year, with the exception of Eastenders and Hollyoaks in my opinion. Eastenders main storyline was the ‘Big Reveal’ of Stacey and Max affair, they had dragged the storyline out for so long I was glued to my screen the moment poor Tania sat down to watch the DVD. Hopefully she will leave Max for good and possibly get with Shaun (There’s something about his bad guy role at the moment that I absolutely love!) I’m looking forward to seeing how the storylines pan out for the New Year. Hollyoaks kept things fresh and exciting as usual and I have to say I think it’s one of the best British TV shows right now, the scenes where Darren lost the pub to Jack were well acted and I hear there is much more exciting stuff to come in 2008!
