Summer’s the time for Serena’s sexy waves
Call them Gisele waves, copycat Mary-Kate or Lauren Conrad, or swoon over Serena’s picture perfect locks each week on Gossip Girl. No matter the reason for your lust, everyone’s craving beachy waves for summer and Girlznight can help you get them.
As always, start with a heat protector. Healthy hair is key for this look and fried tresses won’t do. Try Redken’s Fabricate. Blow dry hair in sections with a round brush, lifting at the root for plenty of volume.
After blow drying work in a little Redken Rough Paste, starting at the crown, to get Serena’s ragged texture.
Next, using a 1-1/2″ curling iron randomly curl sections, changing the direction you curl each time. This will give hair texture and avoid too-fussy curls. Finish with a bit more rough paste, separating some curls with your fingers. The silhouette should be a little messy and not too sleek to cop Serena’s bohemian bed head.
Waves like these were seen at Nanette Lepore and Rebecca Taylor, so throw on a breezy dress in a girlie print to be totally on trend.
