Style Trends for Spring/Summer 2008
Bring back that spring to your step, with a sneak peek at the hottest trends to grace the Spring/Summer 2008 catwalk collections.
Make a splash and make it clash!
Abandon your fashion defences and wear it like you just don’t care! As seen on the all the models traipsing down the catwalk of Dolce & Gabana,

It’s a real case of anything goes – throw neon’s, heels, mismatching prints, voluminous skirts and pastels to create this stylish melange. Remember it’s not what you wear, but how you wear it. Confidence is key to this look, so stand tall and proud!
Stun with a One to One
Save yourself some time and invest in an all in one suit, like this classic white beauty from Loewe. There are no set rules as to the length of the cut. If you want a more sophisticated look in the office, opt for trousers; or go super short for sultry summer nights.

Yes, I’m perfectly serious. Romper suits were a huge hit in the Spring/Summer collections and are expected to be hitting the high street this year!
Sprint to the Print

Think of prints that invoke flower poesies, freshly cut grass and sunny days, like this sweet dress from Balenciaga
Be starry in safari

Answer the call of the Safari by adding nudes, khakis and pristine whites to your colour palette. Become the predator and not the prey, with these thigh skimming shorts from the Michael Kors.
Flirt with the Full Skirt

Thigh high or to the knee – it’s up to you where you want it to cut!
Just remember the key to this look is the cinched in waist, so keep those waist belts because this trend is not going anywhere.
It goes on Sheer
Be cool by the pool with sheer garments like this one from Fendi. Just make sure you’re wearing the appropriate layers underneath, or this look could be rather scandalous (unless that’s the reaction you were aiming for!)

Go dotty with spots and stripes
With the summer sun out in full force, you’ll want to be adding a little pizzazz to your outfits to reflect your sunny mood! So you’ll definitely want to consider introducing stars, stripes or dots to do the job. Take a look at Anna Sui’s latest collection for inspiration.

Move over Carrie Bradshaw, there’s a new style icon in town.
Watch out for Anna Friel in ‘Pushing Daises’. Fashionistas on the other side of the pond are positively drooling over her vintage inspired wardrobes. It’s only a matter of time before us Brits will be following suit.

For those not in the know….
Pushing Daises is a bright quirky series about a man who has the ability to briefly resurrect people from the dead with just one touch. His powers are ever so handy when it comes to solving crimes. One day he saves his childhood sweetheart from the brink of death in which she miraculously survives, but there is a twist, if he touches her again – he will lose her forever.
Pushing Daises is scheduled to appear on ITV1 in March.

I love the print dress, but not sure if I would be bold enough to wear it!
