Gwyneth Paltrow Walks Tall, Are Kate and Owen Engaged? Plus Soap Award Winners!

Gwyenth Paltrow isn’t one of the celebrities I usually associate with high fashion but recently she’s definitely caught my attention after being spotted out and about wearing some killer heels! From the range of huge stilettos she’s been sporting lately to those classic black heels she’s apparently creating a look that’s causing shops in London to sell out of shoes! Marie Claire magazine recently reported that Selfridges in particular has noticed a surge in 7 inch heels in brands like Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent. I’m not sure I could actually walk in them myself but there’s no doubt they do look seriously stylish!

I was pleased to see Hollyoaks topping the British Soap Awards this year! They won loads of awards and quite rightly so, it’s about time such a quality show got recognised for its true potential. Eastenders walked away with the biggest award of the night, bagging the ‘Best Soap Award’ which I also think was completely deserved, they have seen some of the biggest and best storylines of the year, let’s just hope things don’t start to go downhill now though with the return of all these old characters!

I felt a bit sorry for the cast of ‘Doctors’ at the awards, I don’t think they actually walked away with anything did they? They must have been seriously peeved by the end of the night after watching everyone else win. The coverage of the after party was pretty good though, watching the stars let their hair down was quite amusing and seeing how they all mixed and mingled together was great. I bet by the end of the night they weren’t looking quite so presentable though!

Lastly, I’ve just read that on/off couple Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are engaged! Apparently Kate has been seen wearing a huge engagement ring and early reports would suggest that she and Owen have patched things up for good! If this is true then I think its brilliant news, they make such a cute couple and Kate has definitely proved to Owen how much she cares for him by helping him through his recent tough times after his much publicised suicide attempt. I wonder if we will hear an official report anytime soon or if this is just another case of the press jumping to conclusions…
