Ellen and Portia to Marry, Ashlee and Pete Already Married and BB 9 On the way!

Now that it is legal for lesbian and gay couples to marry in California TV Star and Host Ellen DeGeneres recently revealed live on her show that she and long term girlfriend Portia de Rossi will be getting married. Portia shot to fame on the hit TV show Ally McBeal and the two have been one of Hollywood’s most publicised lesbian couples during their relationship and are both apparently overjoyed at the fact they can now legally marry and commit to eachother fully.

Speaking of weddings, Ashlee Simpson and her Fall Out Boy boyfriend Pete Wentz have recently tied the knot at a private ceremony last Saturday at the Simpson family home in Encino, CA. This adds further fuel to the rumours that Ashlee is pregnant, although there’s still not been an announcement confirming this so I’m beginning to get a little confused as to who to believe! …

Apparently Ashlee and Jessica’s father Joe Simpson performed the actual wedding ceremony himself (he’s a former minister if I remember correctly) and Jessica attended with on/off boyfriend Tony Romo. Jessica was Ashlee’s maid of honour and the theme of the whole wedding was Alice in Wonderland. That sounds fab doesn’t it!

Big Brother 9 is fast approaching us here in the UK, and whether you love it or hate it there’s no chance you’ll be able to escape it! Personally I love Big Brother, I can’t help but watch it and no matter how rubbish I always think it is to begin with I’m later drawn back into it and watch right until the end. There are the usual rumours surrounding the contestants this year including the fact that Grace (BB7) cousin is going in, as well as a WAG. The fun starts again on June 5th!

Lastly, I’m hoping to be able to get to see Sex and the City next Wednesday for the previews, I’ll be sure to post up a review if I do! How many of you will be planning girlie nights out with your friends to see this one? I’ve heard mixed reports as to just how good it’s gonna be but I’m sure I’ll just be happy to see the ladys back on our screens once more!
