Design Your Way to A Fabulous Holiday. Card?

If you’re anything like me you’re going crazy right about now trying to figure out how to get out all of your holiday cards. Well forget that first part about how to get those cards out, you probably haven’t even figured out what cards you’re going to send. I mean I don’t have a happy little family to put in a picture and post inside one of those pre-made picture cards and send to all my married friends to show off my beautiful children. No. I haven’t quite hit that stage yet. And still I have to send out holiday cards. How to be hip and cool and still do the drill of the monotonous, ugly, hum drum holiday wishes?

Well a company called Design-her Gals has come along to save the day. They make choosing your holiday cards just like a day at the mall, always a favorite, meaning the holiday card dilemma is no longer a dilemma but a delight. You just go online and follow a little process of creating a gal and bam – you have a personalized card to send to your friends.

First you choose from one of their four “Gal” types. The one that most resembles you. Then you proceed to dress her up in a wide array of clothing, shoes, jewelry, props, and random accessories like a man by your side or gifts in your hands. This is the gal I came up with:

That’s my dog Jack Henry. Now I own a store so I wanted my employees to be standing with me. So I decided to order a custom card. For an extra $25 I ordered an extra gal. Then for an extra $100 I had them completely custom make a guy for me. I sent them a picture of him and they completely tricked him out. They also threw in a custom top for my extra “Gal.” Here are their accessories:

Cyrus got motorcycle boots, a wallet chain, a gas attendant work shirt with his name on it, and Sharice got a belted top. Then it came time for me to pick our background. They have a number of amazing backgrounds to choose from, but of course I wanted ours to be custom. So I shelled out an extra bit for them to change the street names on the street signs to “Kings” and “Third” (our cross streets) and this was the result:

A completely adorable Holiday Card. Now without all the customizations your gal is free and all you pay for are the cards, and the cards cost $60 for 25 cards with envelopes. Of course the more you order the cheaper they are. For example,125 for $200. Not bad for your custom card. And a whole lot better than all of the crappy cards out there.
