Christmas Gift Ideas - Hair Straighteners and Hair Dryers

Well, it’s just 4 weeks to Christmas and if you are anything like me you won’t have started your shopping yet. Every year it gets to Christmas Eve and I’m running around in a blind panic hunting for gifts and thinking “Not next year, next year I will be organised!”.

Hopefully I can take some of the stress out of your shopping and between now and Christmas I’m going to be giving a weekly rundown on some of our top gift ideas. We’ve got Christmas gifts for guys, Christmas gifts for girls and once you are done shopping you can even reward yourself with one of our pampering products to help you unwind!

I’ll start this week with our hair care electrical products, which are always popular at this time of year and make the perfect gift for any fashion conscious female.

Hair Straighteners

That’s easy I hear you say, surely it’s got to be GHD?? Well the answer is not anymore!

GHD were the first Company to introduce professional straighteners to a mass market and consequently the brand has become synonymous with straightening irons. Well, whisper it, but we preferred the old GHD Mk3 and there is now some serious competition to GHD’s throne.

For professional straightening on a budget, Hair Tools FHI produce a fabulous ceramic straightener which is available in black and pink and comes in at just £74.95. The iron actually heats up to 232 degrees, which is hotter than GHD, although unless you have really thick hair then there is not much difference once you pass the 200 degree barrier.

The FHI Straightener has increased in popularity throughout the year and is now one of our best selling irons, combining excellent performance and affordability.

For the absolute top performance, we recommend one of the T3 Straightening Irons. They are a little pricier, coming in at £115 - £120, but the tourmaline infused ceramic plates ensure that the straighteners will literally glide through your hair.

Hair Dryers

If you really want to splash out on the best then, like the straighteners, it’s got to be T3. The T3 Evolution is top of the tree on performance, but is pricy at £125. A cheaper alternative is the T3 Featherweight, which has many of the features of the Evolution, only is slightly less powerful and priced at £90.00.

For a high quality hair dryer at an affordable price, the ETI Turbo Dryer packs in 1500W of drying power and is available in a range of colours to suit all tastes. At £29.95 it makes an excellent Christmas gift idea.
