Tia Browsh is the owner of the store Jack Henry in Los Angeles (www.whoisjackhenry.com). Jack Henry is an exclusive, appointment-only boutique which caters mainly celebrities and stylists.
Browsh opened the store in 2002 to much acclaim carrying the latest and greatest in hot designers with the store's emphasis on incredible personalized service. Since then she has changed her model. The personalized service still exists - in fact, all employees are either stylists or designers themselves. But she now carries clothing by up-and-coming designers from around the world. Her time is spent traveling the globe, seeking out fresh young talent and bringing it back to her celebrity clients who can then hopefully help launch these designers' careers.
"I have been a fashion victim with no foe, owned a store that sells no clothes, and written for an audience of none. My life has, at times, been merely existential.
With the advent of writing for GirlzNight.co.uk, my readership will surely grow to more than one. A scary thought for sure. So I will fearfully put pen to paper (as typing comes later) and will write like the wind as I don't want to be caught trailing in the trends or behind in beauty.
With regard to the store, perhaps my clothes will be coveted when I'm caught red-handed selling high couture to the curious and not just the cliques. And as for those foes, I imagine every one of you will line up to take a jab at one point or another, so my boxing gloves are up and I'm ready to wield comments made in genuine interest, in jest, or in downright disgust."
